Mark your calendars for July.
On May 10, it was announced by Oricon that BTS would release their 10th Japanese single, Lights/Boy with Luv, on July 3.
“Lights” is set to be the release’s title track and is set to have an official music video. This marks the first time in four years that an original Japanese track by BTS will be accompanied by a music video since the group’s 2015 single, “For You”, was released. The description behind “Lights” hints at an exploration of unity and hope.
Along with “Lights”, the feature will also include Japanese versions of the group’s songs, “Boy With Luv” and “Idol”. The release is set to come in three press editions. The first version will have the official music videos for “Lights” and Idol”. The second will have a DVD with a jacket and behind the scenes exclusives of music video filming. The third will have a 36-page photo book. This is the group’s first Japanese single since Fake Love/Airplane Pt. 2 which was dropped in November 2018.
