BTS Claims Three Guinness World Records With “Boy With Luv” Music Video

BTS continues to accomplish ground-breaking feats with their latest comeback, and water is wet.

On April 18, it was announced that the seven-member boyband had set three new Guinness World Records with their music video for “Boy With Luv” featuring Halsey.

The organisation had confirmed that the music video had broken records for the “most viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours by a Kpop group”, “most viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours”, and overall, “most viewed YouTube video in 24 hours”.

Released on April 12, on the same day as the group’s newest album, Map of the Soul Persona, the music video for “Boy With Luv” had originally accomplished to gather 78 million views within the first 24-hours of its release on YouTube. However, that number has now been reduced to 74.6 million, though, it still cements the music video as having the best opening day for any video in the platform’s history.

“Boy With Luv” is also the group’s 18th music video to surpass 100 million views on YouTube, reaching the view count within less than a week of its upload on April 14. To put it into perspective, the music video for “Run”, the title track from the group’s 2015 ep, The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Pt. 2, had also hit the milestone during the same week as “Boy With Luv” after three years since its upload.
